  • Overhead Crane are used by many industries for a variety of uses
  • Anyone operating an Overhead Crane is required to be trained on the equipment
  • Anyone operating an Overhead Crane is also required to maintain and inspect the Overhead Crane in accordance with CAN/CSA Standard B167-96 (R2002)
  • The ONLY way for your employees to achieve OHS compliance is by taking both theory and practical training

Overhead Crane Safety

Course Location: Resident and on-site

Maximum Class Size: 12 Students

Course Duration: 1 day - Classroom and Practical

This Overhead Crane Safety Course will guide you through all aspects of Overhead Cranes, from the division of responsibilities, to information about personal protective equipment plus operating procedures. Our comprehensive course will explain in detail what you need to know, emphasize key points and test your knowledge retention after each module. This course is required by many industries and you should check with your employer to see whether or not you need Overhead Crane Safety training.

By doing both theory and practical on-site training then shows the employer is doing their “Due Diligence” and they will comply with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

After completion of this course, you should be able to understand:

  • How to operate an Overhead Crane safely
  • Individual Safety responsibilities of the owner, operator and manufacturer
  • Potential hazards regarding the operation of Overhead Cranes
  • What to do during the Pre-Operation Inspection

After successful completion of this course the student will be issued a certificate of completion.
